Eminence has long had a reputation of building high quality, rugged prosound speakers, but recently they've come out with some excellent guitar speakers along with what are probably the best bass guitar speakers on the planet. The new Kappalite line of long-excursion neodymium woofers not only matches or surpasses the performance of many high-end prosound woofers, but they also work great for bass guitar. One of the key features of the Eminence Kappalites is unusually long excursion, which is great for a bass cabinet because the woofer's excursion is usually the limiting factor. Now tradeoffs are always a part of loudspeaker design (anyone who tells you otherwise is in marketing), but Eminence's juggling of tradeoffs in the Kappalites is truly masterful. Between these two lines we have options enough to successfully to address virtually any guitarist or bass player's needs. For the bass player in particular, we can model loudspeaker behavior in different cabinets and with different tunings to find the best match for your needs.
